Relacement valve kit for Fender Bassbreaker 15

Fender Bassbreaker 15

Valves for Fender Bassbreaker 15 amplifier.

The Fender Bassbreaker 15 amplifier uses:

  • 2 x ECC83 (also called 12AX7) preamp valves.
  • 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the Phase Inverter position (V3).
  • 2 x EL84 matched power valves/power tubes.

We offer two superb valve kits for the Fender Bass Breaker 15. One is by Sovtek and the other is by JJ. Both are the perfect choice for Fender amps.

You can choose a Sovtek valve set which is what your amp would have originally been supplied with. These are superb quality tubes. Fender rebrand these valves in their Groovetubes name but if you look you will see the Sovtek name underneath.

If you’ve always liked the sound of your amp, this is the set for you and it will get your amp sounding like new again.

Alternatively, a lot of our customers are fans of JJ valves which are often described as a “little bit more rock and roll”.

Both sets are Selected Premium Grade valves and will deliver superb tone and performance.

You can order these singly, the power valves as matched pairs, or a complete set. However, we strongly recommend you replace all your valves at the same time so your amp sounds better than ever.

Biasing the Valves/Tubes on your Fender Bassbreaker 15 guitar amplifier.

If you have any questions about replacing your valves please do not hesitate to drop us an email. We are always happy to help.

If you have never changed your valves before please take a look at our very helpful FAQ section where we answer all the most common questions we get asked each week.

One of the questions we are often asked is “Do I need to bias the valves when I put new ones in?”.

This amp is Cathode biased which means you do NOT need to bias the amp when you replace your valves. Bias is something that causes a lot of confusion. This is mainly because those amps which you do need to adjust are called “Fixed Bias” So you can see where the confusion comes from.

About this amp:

The Fender Bassbreaker 15 valve combo is what might have happened in the 60’s if Fender had chased the rock amp market instead of the country and blues players. Packed with loads of features, this amp is a top-notch amplifier for stage or studio.

The all-new three-position Gain Structure switch gives you three distinct “boutique” “voices”. There are also some recording-friendly features.
