Valves for Victory V40 “The Duchess” amplifiers.

The Victory V40 “The Duchess” amplifier uses 5 valves to achieve its awesome tone:

• 2 x ECC83 (also called 12AX7) preamp valves.
• 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter (in position V3).
• 2 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes OR 2 x matched 6L6GC power valves.

Originally the amp was only supplied with EL34s but later models gave you the choice of 6L6GC instead. So check what is inside your amp before you order. We can supply either set.

Please Note: There are three Victory amplifiers with the V40 name and they all need different valve sets:

1.  V40 “The Duchess” (which uses 5 valves).
2. There’s the V40 Deluxe Heritage Series (which uses 6 valves).
3. Finally, the V40 Deluxe Classic (which uses 8 valves).
