The VHT Special 6 Ultra adds an extra preamp tube to the popular Special 6 circuit, this provides an extra gain stage for high-gain overdrive, and it also provides a low-impedance buffer for the effects loop.

The Ultra also adds a Watts control circuit that can reduce the power down to 1/2 watt, for very low-volume high-gain tones. The Ultra combo also features a 12″ VHT Chromeback speaker for a bigger sound and more volume.
