Best valves for Mesa Triple Crown TC100 amplifier

The Mesa Triple Crown TC100 amplifier uses:

  • 5 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
  • 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter (in position V7).
  • 1 x ECC81 (12AT7) for the FX send and return.
  • 4 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes.

Note: The balanced ECC83 goes in the V7 position which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack. You will find the valve layout shown in our valve kit.

We recommend using the superior EL34 MKII in this amp which will deliver better tone across the range as well as giving longer life. If you prefer the standard EL34 just let us know.

All our power valves are the correct bias for this amp as specified by Mesa so you will not need to re-bias your amplifier.
