The Hughes and Kettner Triamp MKII amplifier uses:

• 8 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
• 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter (in position V9).
• 4 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes. We recommend using the EL34 MKII for this amp as it will significantly upgrade the tone of the amp and give much longer life.

Note: The balanced ECC83 goes in the V9 position which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack. This valve sits next to the four power valves.

This amp is often found with 6L6GC power valves inside as well so make sure you check what is inside your amp before you order.
