About the Laney Cub10 amp.
The Laney Cub 10 has a remarkably warm, clean tone which in Fender fashion can be mildly overdriven for bluesy or crunch tones by the onboard gain control. The amp has an impressive 10-inch Celestion but it has a limited high-freq response. It sounds good but won’t provide the same output as the 12-inch CUB12.
The Laney CUB 10 is that it is very powerful, warm-sounding, quiet, well-constructed. With its external speaker-out jack, The Laney Cub 10 can easily drive a 4×12 half stack. The integrated line cord is awkward and should be converted in the next production run to be detachable.
Laney is providing a rationale for the low-current-capacity integrated cord in that it won’t get lost (this suggests that I’m stupid), but the sophisticated American capitalist knows that it is simply cheaper to build.
