The Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb Reissue 2014+ uses 9 valves (but see note below):

• 4 x ECC83 (also called 12AX7) preamp valves/tubes.
• 1 x ECC81 (12AT7) for the reverb driver in position V3.
• 1 x Balanced ECC81 for the phase splitter in position V6.
• 1 x GZ34 rectifier valve.
• 2 x 6L6GC matched power valves.

Please note, later versions of this amp do not use a rectifier valve. We have a kit for later versions that does not include a rectifier valve. Please check your amp before you place an order.

As part of the Fender Modified Series, Fender has taken a Classic amp from their 60’s catalogue and transformed it into a present-day masterpiece. It comes with updated styling and fantastic modifications to suit the modern performer.

1968 was a transitional year for Fender amps. Whilst maintaining the classic Fender identity, the design of the original Vibrolux was fresh and classy. Guitarists loved the silver and turquoise front panel and aluminium “drip-edge” grille cloth trim. The New 68′ Vintage Modified Vibrolux pays tribute to that classic look and ethos of the original.
