About the Traynor YCV50 amp:
The Traynor YCV50 has a real tube overdrive provided by 3 x ECC83 (also known as 12AX7) preamp tubes and 2 x EL34 power tubes. It features a Blue Nubtex covering, black grille, black logo as well as black plastic corners along with the EL34 power tubes.
The Celestion Vintage 30 speaker help gives the Traynor YCV50 a rich boutique sound. The three basic tones (clean, crunch and overdrive) are easily defined. The voicing of the Traynor YCV50’s lead channel is designed to provide an ominous or darker “British” tone.
Signal-to-noise is not normally a specification discussed where guitar amplifiers are concerned, but the Traynor YCV50 is ultra quiet. The auto-matching tube circuit that maintains bias balance as tubes age ensuring hum free performance.
