The Traynor YGL3 MKIII amplifier uses:

  • 5 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
  • 1 x EL84 for the reverb.
  • 4 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes.

We recommend the JJ EL34 MarkII as it delivers superior bass response, extended middle range and longer life in 100W amplifiers than the standard EL34. If you prefer the standard EL34 just let us know and we will supply those instead.

About the amp

This is a much sought after amplifier so not so easy to get hold of these days. Yes it’s on the heavy and the loud side but it’s a price worth paying. Made in the early seventies in Canada.
