The Selmer Treble n Bass 100w head cam in three versions over the years.

Earlier models used 11 valves and later models (1970 onwards) used 8 valves. The models can be identified by the colour of the cloth used or aluminium used in the later models.

The 1965-67 black/blue cloth and the 1967-69 black/silver cloth used 11 valves as follows:

• 4 x ECC83 preamp valves (also known as 12AX7).
• 1 x Balanced ECC84 for the phase inverter (in position V5).
• 2 x GZ34 rectifier valves.
• 4 x EL34 matched power valves.

From 1970 onwards, the Aluminium SV range used:

• 3 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
• 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter (in position V4).
• 4 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes.
