About the amp
The Mesa Boogie MKII is an extremely sought after amplifier these days. It was originally launched in 1978 and was the first amp to offer channel switching. Between 1978 and 1985 when the MKII came out there were four variations of this amp as Mesa rolled out various upgrades:
1978: The original MKII which would later be called the MKIIa
1980: The MKIIb – now with the first ever effects loop.
1983: The MKIIc – around 1,400 of these were produced before the a company upgrade saw the release of the MKIIc+
1984 (Jan) – 1985 (Mar) – the now highly sought after MKIIc+
