The Mesa Boogie Maverick Dual Rectifier amplifier uses 6 x ECC83 (also called 12AX7) preamp valves, 1 x GZ34 (5AR4) rectifier valve and 4 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes.
Over time your valves will lose their tone and their power. A brand new set of valves will get your amp sounding better than ever.
We always recommend JJ valves for this amplifier. This is because they guarantee you get awesome tone and long life and they don’t cost a fortune. Remember, JJ is one of only five manufacturers of valves in the world.
So don’t pay higher prices for valves from the same factory that have simply been rebranded by other companies.
So restore the tone, the power and the sparkle to your guitar amplifier. Treat yourself to a brand new set of valves today.

The Mesa Maverick uses four EL84 power tubes running Pure Class A and a 5AR4 Rectifier tube to fuel its thirty-five-watt power section. The pre-amp section uses no less than six ECC83 preamp valves (12AX7s) fitted into the swing-away tube clamp.
Two separate sets of tubes are used for the Rhythm and Lead channels. So what you’re getting here is two separate amplifiers built into one chassis. More flexibility is achieved by two complete sets of Tone and Master controls.
