Best valves for Marshall DSL5CR amplifiers

The Marshall DSL5CR amplifier uses:

• 2 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
• 1 x 12BH7A power valve/power tube.

You can also use an ECC99 in place of the 12BH7A if you want but we prefer the 12BH7A. You may want to measure the height of the 12BH7A in your amp to see if you should replace it with a JJ or Electro Harmonix valve. With the current valve shortage your amp may have been supplied with either.
