The Marshall Artist amplifier uses:

  • 3 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
  • 1 x Balanced ECC83 in the phase splitter position (V4).
  • 2 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes.

You can order these valves singly, the power valves as matched pairs or a complete kit. However, we strongly urge you to change all your valves at the same time. It’s the cheapest way of getting your amp sounding its very best.

About the amp:

This amp was produced between 1971 and 1978. It is a 50 watt 2 x 12 combo and is considered by many to be Marshall’s answer to the Fender Twin Reverb. Built to last but still quite a rare and collectable amp these days.
