The Hughes and Kettner GrandMeister 36 is an all analogue tube amp with a host of amazing features. The really neat thing about this is their use of smart rotary controls instead of conventional potentiometers.

The amp also has onboard effects and delivers real tube tone that you can program to suit your tastes.

Hughes and Kettner GrandMeister 36 Features:

This versatile amp has eight EQ and six FX knobs for each channel. Normally that would be a LOT of pots – 56 in fact!

This is where the Smart Rotary Controls come into play. Each knob serves as four gain or four tone controls. Simply pressing FX ACCESS turns the tone controls into FX knobs.

The rear panel of the GrandMeister offers all the features you would expect on an amp of this quality. It also has a clever built-in power dump called Power Soak. So this allows the amp to go from a roar to a whisper without sacrificing tone. Ditto for the onboard Red Box, which always feeds rich, thick power amp tone straight to mixing consoles.
