Ampeg J-20 Diamond Blue Jet
Valves for Ampeg J-20 Diamond Blue Jet amplifier.
The Ampeg J-20 Diamond Blue Jet amplifier uses:
- 2 x ECC83 (also known as 12AX7) preamp valves.
- 1 x Balancxed ECC83 for the phase inverter (position V3).
- 2 x matched 6V6S power valves/power tubes.
- 1 x GZ34 (5AR4) rectifier valve.
Note: the balanced valve goes in the V3 position which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack.
Over time, your valves will slowly lose their power and more importantly, their tone. It’s important to change them on a regular basis to keep your amp sounding as sweet as the day it left the factory.
