- Awesome tone. The number one priority for any guitarist has to be the tone of the amplifier. Warm, rich, fat and juicy are the words that best describe the sound from these valves.
- Sustained valve power to make the most of every stage in the amplifier chain. It is the balance between volume and tone that distinguishes a great valve from a mediocre valve.
- Long valve life – guitar amps by their very nature have to be built to take a lot of knocks. Robustness is particularly important when it comes to the amplifier valves themselves.

About the Rivera Knucklehead Reverb 55- EL34
Note that the same amp comes in two powers versions and with two valve options. In summary, the Rivera Knucklehead Reverb 55 uses 5 x ECC83s and 2 x EL34s with three channels and 55 watts of power. To be fair, this amp is a lot more than that, it’s one for the control freaks. It’s for the guitarists who like to be able to customise everything about their tone. It offers a three-band EQ for Channel One and shares a three-band EQ for Channel Two/Three.
A Volume and Gain for each allows you to switch channels when playing live with ease. The Rivera Knucklehead Reverb 55 also uses Midi so you never need to go over to your amp between tracks.
The Rivera Knucklehead Reverb 55 can do anything from clean to mean at any volume. With complete tone, level and gain control all at your feet this amp is meant to be heard. Live performances won’t sound better than this.
