The Peavey Classic 30 tube amp was launched in the early ’90s. It has a combination of design influences.

Features include 12″ Blue Marvel speaker, 2 channel preamp. Controls: Master volume, reverb level, 3-band passive EQ (treble, middle, bass). Three ECC83 preamp tubes and two matched EL84 power tubes create that gorgeous all-tube sound.

The amplifier has a simple and well laid out set of features. This includes master treble/mid/bass and reverb. It has both pre and power amp gain knobs as well as a normal channel volume. The master EQ is really useful when switching channels.

Simplicity in the layout is often under-rated. Guitarists should be focussing on their playing and not constantly fiddling with the amp.
