About the JJ Electronics ECC802S valve

The JJ ECC802S is a long plate version of the ECC82 (12AU7). This awesome valve (tube) has established itself as one of the most reliable and best sounding preamplifier valves for Hi-Fi amplifiers on the market today.

Its design produces extra cooling, making it ideal for long service life. The longer plate enhances the bass and mid range compared to standard ECC82 valves. Note that longer plate valves are often more microphonic than short plate valves, so use a damper ring on the valve when installing in combo amps. This issue is not a problem in amp heads.

We are now stocking this valve in response to customer demand following our introduction of the JJ ECC803S (a long plate version of the ECC83S).
