About the Marshall JCM1 50th Anniversary:

The Marshall JCM1 50th Anniversary is a 1 watt, one channel amp with a simple interface. It is powered by 2 x 12AX7 (ECC83) and 1 x 12AU7 (ECC82) valves with just a Volume, Master Volume and three band EQ.

This amp pays homage to both the sound and look of Marshall amps in the 1980s. It has authentic JCM800 tone which really shines when the Volume is pushed and the Master Volume lower. This drives the amp more and brings out the Marshall grit of the time.

The Marshall JCM1 50th Anniversary has a Boost switch as well for more gain. The manufacturer describes the boost to “provide tone character from another definitive ‘80s Marshall- the Marshall 2555″. Additionally, the Marshall JCM1 50th Anniversary has a power switch that lowers the output to 0.1 watt.

So this amp is ideal for real Marshall fans, especially of the 80s era. It could be used at home, recording or rehearsals without an acoustic drum kit.
