Best valves for the Victory Silverback

The Victory Silverback amplifier uses:

• 3 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
• 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter (in position V5).
• 1 x ECC81 (12AT7)
• 2 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes.

Note: The balanced ECC83 goes in the V5 position, which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack.

This is a beautiful hand-wired amplifier and our valve kit includes two superior EL34 MKII power valves in place of the standard EL34. If you prefer the standard EL34, just let us know.

This amp is descended from the Victory Earl. We supply JJ valves for thios ampo as specified by Victory.

“Developed with Dorje frontman Rob ‘Chappers’ Chapman, the SIlverback is descended from Victory’s existing 50-watt The Earl model, and has two footswitchable channels that cover high-headroom clean, classic crunch and crushing overdrive tones.

It also has in-built spring reverb and a parallel effects loop with FX mix control. The Silverback delivers the ultimate blend of sounds and features from Rob’s favourite amplifiers to date.
