The Supro 1642RT Titan amplifier uses 7 valves to achieve its incredible tone:
Note: The balanced ECC83 goes in the V5 position which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack.

We always recommend JJ valves for this amplifier. This is because they guarantee you get awesome tone and long life and they don’t cost a fortune.
Remember, JJ is one of only five manufacturers in the world. So don’t pay higher prices for valves from the same factory that have simply been rebranded by other companies.

About the amp
A 1 x 10 combo that delivers an incredible 50 watts of power.
This is a cathode biased amp so there is no need to re-bias the amp when changing valves. However, do check to see if your amp came with 6L6GC valves or 5881s before you order.
It features a very nice valve-driven spring reverb and tremolo.
The back panel is removed easily for access. The tubes are protected by a metal cage, the screws of which are not the easiest to get at. The price you pay for having such a compact amp. Three of the preamp valves are mounted on a second PCB that hangs perpendicular to the main board, and point forwards towards the speaker baffle.
This is an unusual amp in many respects and has acquired quite a following with some serious named endorsements, not least Joe Perry and Brian Setzer.
Here is a link to the manual for the Supro 1642RT Titan. It specifies that you need 5881 power valves but some of these amps were supplied with generic 6L6GC power valves. So take a quick look inside your amp before you order. We can of course supply either of these pairs of power valves in your kit. Just let us know if you need the 6L6GCs instead.
