The Orange AD5 is a 5 Watt amplifier with a 10” Celestion Speaker.
Orange electric guitar amps have a very British sound. They are tube-powered, so provide a smooth, warm vintage amp sound.
This Orange Combo was originally available in the early 2000s and only produced in very limited numbers. Since then the Orange AD5 has become a real collector’s piece, even being listed in Aspen Pittman’s Groove Tube’s book. The latest Orange has the same circuit as the original 1999 edition but is made with a PCB.
This Orange amplifier has a classic vintage amp character. At such low power it is ideal to record with, or simply get those great live cranked sounds in your bedroom without annoying your neighbours (too much).
So this is a really handy “grab and go” combo. It won’t break your back when you try to lift it either!
