About the Mesa Boogie Rectifier Recording Amplifier

The Mesa Boogie Rectifier Recording Amplifier was designed to get the legendary Mesa sound direct to tape. The recording amplifier enables you to record the awesome Mesa sound without the hassle of setting up microphones and long cables. It also solves the problem of finding the “sweet spot”.

The Recording Amplifier uses six recording tubes, five custom transformers, a gang of tuned inductors to duplicate on tape not just the sound and feel of a Recto stack mic’d up in a great room.

Now those sounds are instantly available, any time, anywhere at any volume level. What makes this amplifier so special is that it uses rectifier preamp circuits from the famous Dual, Triple and Road King.

FEATURES

Stereo record and live outputs.

The Rectifier Recording Preamp provides pure analog recording circuitry that can be used for recording (or live and uses no digital modelling) as well as dedicated standard “live” outputs.

Two fully independent Channels with six Modes. All modes have independent Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Presence & Master Controls.

Channel.1 = Clean, Fat or Brit.

Channel 2 = Raw, Vintage High Gain or Modern High Gain.

Channel 1 also features a Bright and Pad Switch, while Channel 2 provides a Live Bright/Warm Record Voice Switch.

All of this preamp goodness then feeds to independent Record and Live Output Controls as well as a foot-switchable Solo Level Control. A Smart Power™ function trigger is also provided, which controls the Smart Power Modes (Deep, Half Drive or Modern) on select MESA Power Amps.
