The Fender Hot Rod Deluxe George Benson amplifier uses:

- 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter (in position V3).
- 2 x 6L6GC matched power valves/power tubes.
Note: The balanced ECC83 goes in the V3 position which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack.

About the amp
For the refined Jazz artist this is a highly desirable amplifier. It has very subtle tone nuances that the discerning jazz player who tends to use less, if any, overdrive, will appreciate.
It uses a 100-watt Jensen C12K speaker, offering cleaner highs, stronger bass, and more headroom. You can crank it louder and stay clean.
The key difference in valves between the GB version and the standard version is that the GB version uses an ECC81/12AT7 for the phase inverter position, whereas the standard Hot Rod Deluxe uses an ECC83/12AX7.
