Best valves for Bogner Shiva Reverb 80w amplifier

The Bogner Shiva Reverb 80w EL34 amplifier uses:

  • 6 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
  • 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter (in position V7).
  • 2 x EL34 matched power valves/power tubes.

Note: The balanced ECC83 goes in the V7 position which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack.

Important Notes:

  • We supply EL34 MKII power tubes because this amp has a very high plate voltage so the standard EL34 is not recommended.
  • The balanced ECC83 goes in the V7 position which is the preamp valve furthest from your input jack.
  • If your amp does not have a reverb it will use only 6 x ECC83 (inc one balanced)
  • The 20th-anniversary edition uses 2 x KT88 power tubes.
