About the JJ Electronics ECC802S valve
The JJ ECC802S is a long plate version of the ECC82 (12AU7).
This awesome valve (tube) has established itself as one of the most reliable and best sounding preamplifier valves for Hi-Fi amplifiers on the market today.
Its design produces extra cooling, making it ideal for long service life. The longer plate enhances the bass and mid range compared to standard ECC82 valves. Note that longer plate valves are often more microphonic than short plate valves, so use a damper ring on the valve when installing in combo amps. This issue is not usually a problem in amp heads or with hi-fi applications..
We test each valve at real amp voltages on our suite of vintage, modern, and custom-built valve testers for performance, microphonics, and noise.
We recommend JJ Electronics valves as they guarantee a superb tone at a very attractive price.
You can also order preamp valves singly. We always recommend that you change all your valves at the same time if you possibly can.
Restore the original power, clarity, and sparkle to your Hi-Fi amplifier with brand new valves. Treat yourself to new set today.
- Awesome tone. Surely the number one priority has to be the tone of the amplifier.
- Sustained valve power to make the most of every stage in the amplifier chain. It is the balance between volume and tone that distinguishes a great valve from a mediocre valve.
- Long valve life. Red hot metal in glass vacuum tubes. What could possibly go wrong? Long valve life is important.
