In the early 1970s the MkIII was issued and this version dropped the rectifier valve altogether and replaced it with solid state circuitry. So if you have a MkIII (possibly somne of the MKII as well) you do not need the EZ81 valve. Again, check to see what is inside your amp before placing an order.
