Valves for Victory Sherriff 22

The Victory Sherriff 22 compact amplifier uses the following valves:

  • 3 x ECC83 (also called 12AX7) preamp valves.
  • 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase splitter position (V4).
  • 2 x EL34 matched power valves.

Over time your valves will lose their tone and their power. A brand new set of valves will get your amp sounding like new again. We always recommend JJ valves for Victory Sherriff 22 amplifier. This is because they guarantee you get awesome tone and long life and they don’t cost a fortune.

Remember, JJ is one of only five manufacturers of amplifier valves in the world. So don’t pay higher prices for valves from the same factory that have simply been rebranded by other companies.

What Victory say about the Sherriff 22 amplifier.

“This dual-channel, EL84-powered amp is all about classic British overdrive sounds, housed in the same light and portable metal chassis as our award-winning V30 and V40 heads.

Blues-rock players will love the mid-60s-style feel and response of Input/Volume I, with enough gain to sing but also clean up well off the guitar. Input/Volume II takes off into hot-rodded 70s and 80s territory and beyond, retaining that classic British ‘plexi’ sound all the way.

A separate speaker out gives you bedroom level cranked tone at just 0.3 watts. The Sheriff 22 amp is for rock players who want to travel small but go over big!”.
