About the Fender Bassbreaker 45 amp:

The Fender Bassbreaker 45 is available as both a stand-alone head or a combo.

This amp is the 45-watt flagship model that leads a first-rate lineup of lower-wattage models. The whole range has professional tone and performance for today’s rock players.

Bassbreaker series guitar amplifiers evoke the early days of hard rock. The Fender Bassbreaker 45 takes the original Bassman design but also adds cool features such as the grey lacquered tweed covering. It also boasts classic pointer knobs makes for a nice stylistic evolution.

The unique circuitry and use of EL34 power valves and Celestion speakers pays homage to the U.K. amps that ‘borrowed’ Fender circuits in the 1960s. The sound is pure valve brilliance.

This is a fantastic amp but it is also very loud amp. If you find it is too loud, the trick is to replace the first ECC83 in the V1 position with a 12AY7 valve.

Fender Bassbreaker 45 Features:

  • The ’59 Bassman circuit with 2 x EL34 output tubes and Celestion speakers, for tighter “ROCK” distortion character.
  • Output level knob for 45-to-1 watt operation.
  • 2 x 12 Celestion V-type speakers in the combo version.
  • 3 Inputs: normal, bright and both
  • Valves/Tubes: 3 x ECC83 (12AX7) and 2 x EL34.
  • Normal controls for volume, volume bright, output, bass, middle, treble, presence.
  • Finally, the all-important weight factor: 24.95 kg
