The Selmer Truvoice Professional amplifier (12TV, 12TVA and 12TVT) use:

  • 2 x ECC83 preamp valves (also called 12AX7).
  • 1 x EZ80 rectifier valve
  • 2 x EL90 (6AQ5) matched power valves/power tubes.

About the amp

  • Power: 8 watts
  • Most had a 10″ speaker although later models had up to 12″. In addition, the TV12A had two elliptical speakers.
  • The first version of the amp was the TV12. This was followed by the TV12A (this did not have a tremelo) and finally the TV12T.
  • Produced from around 1959 to 1961.
