About the Marshall JMP1 50th Anniversary amp:
The Marshall JMP1 50th Anniversary is a one watt, one channel with three simple controls. It pays homage to the classic Marshall sound and look of the 1970s. Although the Marshall JMP1 50th Anniversary only has Bass and Treble for tone sculpting, each offers wide flexibility so it’s surprising how much this amp has to offer.
To increase gain, the volume control increases both output and distortion. Pushing the volume drives the valves harder resulting in more of that classic Marshall grit.
The Marshall JMP1 50th Anniversary also features a neighbour friendly power switch taking the 1 watt power output down to just 0.1 watts. Making it even easier to achieve saturated gain at lower levels is the Gain Boost switch on the rear panel. This adds another valve stage to the signal path for even more ‘70s gain.
