The Bassman 50 (and the Bassman 70) amplifiers use:

• 1 x ECC81 (also called 12AT7).
• 3 x 7025 0r ECC83 (also called 12AX7).
• 2 x 6L6GC matched power valves/power tubes.

Originally this amp used 7025 valves in the preamp stage but the ECC83 is more readily available and more commonly used these days. However, we do stock the superb Electro Harmonix 7025 and the Sovtek 7025 preamp valves for those customers who prefer the original valve for its low hum and low noise capabilities.
