About the Epiphone Valve Junior 5W amp:
Epiphone released three versions of this amp over the years with various modifications. If yours has an eight-digit serial number it is either version 1 or version 2. If it has a 14 digit serial number it is version 3. The version 3 combos featured upgraded valves, transformer, and speaker along with selectable output impedance.
One knob on the Epiphone Valve Junior guitar amp delivers Class A valve output through a single-ended circuit that responds to your play the way a compact amp is supposed to. Class A valve amplification delivers constant power from the valve.
The valve is always full on regardless of how loud the volume is. This creates a more responsive tone regardless of where you have set the volume. Keep the Valve Junior volume at about 3 and you’ll get a punchy, clear tone.
The Epiphone Valve Junior’s response is quick and lively. Turn the Valve Junior up to 10 and you get a classic crunch that’s really gutsy.
The Epiphone Valve Junior guitar amp is perfect for recording, live, mic’d use or just for practice. It’s perfect when space is limited but sacrificing tone isn’t an option.
The Valve Junior is vintage tone and crunch in an impressively affordable package.
Features:
- Power: 5 watts (but sounds much louder – more like 15w).
- Combo or head.
