About the Crate V5 Guitar Amplifier

This is a great little practice and studio amplifier that uses Class A circuitry.

The Crate V5 amplifier uses 1 x ECC83 preamp valve and 1 x EL84 power valve to great effect. It outputs 5 watts of power through a single 10″ speaker. The sound range is very impressive. It varies from pure cleans to warm, crunchy overdrive as you would expect from a valve amp.

It features volume and tone controls to give you a wide range of sounds. We tested the amp and found that 5 watts meant we could push the valve to the limit. This is when it is at its very best. All the tone you could ever need.

The Crate V5 uses American all valve circuitry. Although small and relatively simple in design, this amp really does deliver. The strong cabinet design and great build quality make the Crate V5 a highly desirable amplifier.
