The Blackstar Series One 100w head comes with two different types of power valves depending on the tone you are looking for.
Valves for Blackstar Series 1 100w amp EL34 VERSION.
Valves for Blackstar Series 1 100w amp 6L6GC VERSION
We always recommend JJ valves/tubes for the Blackstar Series 1 amp. This is because they guarantee awesome tone at a great price.
Remember, JJ is one of only five manufacturers of valves in the World. So don’t pay inflated prices for “boutique” brands that are really the exact same valves.
The valves/tubes on your Blackstar Series 1 100 amplifier will start wearing out from day one. Just like your guitar strings do.
At first, you will not notice much difference. But over time the loss of tone and power means your amp is a shadow of its former self. Since tone is everything to a guitarist you should replace your valves on a regular basis to keep your amp sounding its best.
So order your new valves today and hear the difference.
We also recommend that you take a look at our very useful FAQ section. Here we answer all your most popular questions. If you are new to changing your valves you will find lots of useful hints and tips.

About the Blackstar Series One 100 amplifier:
This amplifier is built on the rock-solid foundation of the classic 100W EL34 power stage. As a result, it sets new standards for clean and crunch tones. Two channels and four foot-switchable modes, complete with ISF, include the amazing Super Crunch for the crunchiest tones yet.
The DPR control allows power to be reduced to 10W for studio and small venue work. So this is great if you want the tone but without the high volumes. A series effects loop and MIDI switching are also useful features on this amp.
